Jean-Sebastien Sauriol was competing in the 12 hours of Aragon race in Spain this weekend onboard the Mosler MTR 900 GT3 of the V de V Sports team. Invited to take part in the last three races of the V de V Endurance Series, Jean-Sebastien went through a lot of different emotions throughout the race weekend. ‘With four drivers sharing the car, I did not get a lot of laps to both discover the car and track which is fast and technical, I nonetheless found my marks quickly and got up to speed right away’.
His first race stint was delayed by a faulty starter motor and the team lost a lot of time with repairs. We got a black flag following the repair, four team members pushed start the car instead of the three allowed by the rules. With poor visibility around the circuit at night it was impossible to see the flags and the radio was no longer working in the car. The team got disqualified and was not permitted to finish the race. ‘It is very disapointing but that is racing, sometimes a chain of events will disturb everything. I can only hope that we will get a good result in Magny-Cours’ says Jean-Sebastien.
