Badluck for Jean-Sebastien Sauriol during the 6 hours of Magny-Cours disputed on the former French Grand Prix formula one track onboard the Mosler MTR 900 GT3 of the V de V Sports team. At the start the car owner stuggle with electronics gremlins and gearbox gear selection. ‘When I took my turn it got worse with a stalled engine on the track, I managed to restart the car and reset everything. ‘The steering wheel looked like a christmas tree with all the lights flashing all at once! The gearbox was hard to manipulate and had a mind of its own’. It than started to rain and the car was even more difficult to drive, I managed to keep the pace with some of the cars but a wheel bearing at the rear began to seize up. The team ordered me to keep on untill my scheduled driver change.’ ‘The car is hard to drive straight especially at the end of the main straight where the cars reach above 270km/hr in the rain! Once in the pits the team found out that it was too dangerous to continue and decided to retired the car.
Endurance races are a box full of surprises, you have to make the most out of every opportunity especially when it is challenging says the driver from Saint-Sauveur, Quebec. The car will need a complete overhaul, I hope that the adventure will continue, says Jean-Sebastien.
